For many parents, the thought of sending their 3- or 4-year-old to camp for the first time is exciting, but also a little nerve-wracking.

These are the exact questions we designed our Junior Program (Ages 3-4) to answer. A "one-size-fits-all" camp program simply doesn't work for preschoolers. They need a program built just for them, focusing on foundational development, a nurturing environment, and a gentle, supportive introduction to the camp experience.

Morning: A Nurturing Welcome

The day starts with a warm, personal welcome from our counsellors. Our high counsellor-to-camper ratio is most critical in our Junior Program. This ensures that every child gets the individual attention they need, especially during drop-off. Mornings are filled with structured, age-appropriate play, storytime, and music, helping our youngest campers feel secure and comfortable as they transition into their day.

Mid-Day: Foundational Skill-Building (Disguised as Play)

This age is all about foundational development. Our Junior Program activities are designed by specialists to build key social, emotional, and motor skills.

· Social & Emotional: Through guided group activities, campers practice sharing, taking turns, and expressing themselves—all in a supportive, positive environment.

· Motor Skills: Our arts, crafts, and gentle physical activities are designed to improve fine and gross motor skills.

· Curiosity: We focus on wonder and discovery, with sensory activities, nature exploration, and creative play that sparks their natural curiosity.

Afternoon: Energy, Art & Quiet Time

After a healthy lunch (with an optional, parent-approved lunch program!), the afternoon is a balance of energy and rest. Juniors have their own dedicated, age-appropriate activities, from team games that build-up their confidence to creative arts that let them express their personality. We also understand the importance of rest for this age group, incorporating quiet time to ensure they stay energized and happy all day long.
