Laurus Daily Schedule: Montreal

7:45 - 8:30 AM Early Care

Doors open at 7:45 AM at Laurus!

On Monday morning when you come to Laurus you will be given a check-out code (3 digits).

There is no extra fee for early drop off – the kids will start activities with counsellors in the gym upon arrival.

8:30 - 9:00 Regular Drop Off

Most campers will arrive between 8:30 – 9:00 AM, so if you’re in a rush to drop off on a Monday morning, try to come earlier to ensure you aren’t kept up!

Counsellors will help escort the kids from check-in to the gym where they will place their bags in their group are and engage in fun games/activities with peers and mentors.

9:00 - 10:15 AM Block #1

At 9:00 AM the official Laurus day begins. On Monday’s we spend the morning splitting the groups by their age/grade and having icebreaker
activities to get to know one another. For the rest of the week this time is used to play inside or outside – if weather permits – or in the
gym/auditorium in organized camp activities or in the art room for the weekly art project!

10:15 - 10:30 AM Snack

Campers are given time for a morning snack (provided from home).

Snacks must be nut-free (i.e. peanuts, walnuts, almonds, etc.).

10:30 - 11:45 - STA Time

During registration you were asked to pick a STA for your child – for a list of STA’s see above!

For 75 minutes every day your child will spend time with a specialist to properly learn and develop skills in that area!

11:45 - 12:45 PM Lunch

Campers will enjoy eating their lunch in our auditorium or outside. We offer a lunch program (additional fees apply) where we offer the likes of sushi, sandwiches, pizza, and/or chicken nuggets! When campers are done eating our counsellors continue to organize small activities with kids until everyone is finished eating!

12:45 - 2:00 PM Block #2

If weather permits, we will go outside for organized activities (WATER SPORTS PERHAPS!). We will provide multiple breaks indoors to ensure no one gets too cold or hot and if we are inside, then we do weekly art projects, playing the weekly sport, running activities related to our creative themes (i.e. Pokemon battles, Disney movies or games, etc.).

2:00 - 3:15 PM Block #3

IIf weather permits, we will go outside for organized activities. We will provide multiple breaks indoors to ensure no one gets too cold or hot and if we are inside, then we do weekly art projects, playing the weekly sport, running activities related to our creative themes (i.e. Pokemon battles, Disney movies or games, etc.).

Please Note:
All of our activities have a purpose and theme (i.e. Chemistry, confidence building, architecture, etc.). Every minute of the day at Laurus, will be a time they are learning something  new in the Arts, Academics or Sports!

3:15 - 3:30 PM Smoothies!

We end everyday with homemade LSC smoothies, made fresh every afternoon by our camp directors – it can range from Cherry Berry Black to a fan favourite Bingo Bango Mango!

3:30 - 4:00 PM Regular Pick Up

Regular pick up hours are from 3:30 – 4:00 every day and is included in the registration fee. Campers enjoy some downtime in the gym with friends from other groups as they are picked up for the day.

Important: At drop off on Monday morning you were provided a Check Out Code. You are required to present the code at the door every day when picking up – if someone else is coming to pick up your child, then they must have the code. No Exceptions to this rule.

4:00 - 5:30 PM Extended Care

LSC understands that some parents may not be able to pick their child up during regular pick-up hours, so we offer extended care until 5:30 pm
(additional fees apply).

The above schedule is subject to change due to special guest speakers or events being conducted; parents will be notified of special events on the Monday of every week.
